Chevrolet or more colloquially known as Chevy has cemented its roots in the world as a forefront of fine engineering that is no more evident when one takes a look at the arsenal of cars, trucks and other vehicles Chevy has put out. Today, we will be looking at one of the most iconic cars Chevy has ever produced- the 1970 Chevy Impala
Truly one of the American classics, the ’70 Chevy Impala was a head-turner where ever it went but if you did not see it coming, you surely heard it. For its countless appearances in Hollywood the car has become somewhat of an icon and still holds up its name almost 40 years after its production.
With a bent front bumper, the Impala was recognized as soon as it entered a street. And the engine was nothing to scoff over either, originally it came with a 250 inch sic engine but initial tests showed that the 155 horse power was not adequate to drive the heavy car so Chevrolet offered customers a variety of engines to choose from.

The vinyl bench seating is still a good reminder of the standard for that time and holds up as a vintage even today. Needless to say that the 70 Impala was an all-round improvement on the 69 model but some could argue that Chevrolet did not do much in the way of changing it, but do not let your ears be fouled by such talk.
