Plymouth Hemi Cuda coupe produced in the period from 1970 to 1971 and was a variety of sports pony car Plymouth Baracuda of 3rd generation. The car has been designed on the basis of Chrysler E platform.
After more than a year rivalry with Ford and Dodge, the company decided to release the Plymouth Barracuda. It became available in the 1964th model year, a couple of weeks earlier than the Ford Mustang. The most powerful version was the Hemi Cuda, which was intended for independent tuning in garage. To distinguish it from the standard model, there was large rear wheels and tires. The car was equipped by the engine capacity of 7.0 liters with a pair of four-barrel carburetor, producing in standard 355 hp and was able to easily tune in to a huge power – 620 hp.
1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda was equipped with 4-speed manual transmission. The suspension on the front, there were double wishbones at the torsion bar. Behind were semicircular leaf springs. Koni adjustable dampers have also been introduced in the car. Front brakes were disk, and on the rear wheels were drum brakes.
