The 2015 Ford Mustang GT is a naturally aspirated model, which is powered by the 5.0L V8 engine that produces 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, easily overtaking the 420 hp and 390 lb-ft that was initially projected by Ford. The sixth generation 2015 Ford Mustang incorporates wholly autonomous rear suspension on all models, plus an optional 2.3L EcoBoost turbocharged and direct injected 4-cylinder engine. Three 2015 Ford Mustang engine types were obtainable; a standard aluminum 3.7L V6, an optional 2.3 L EcoBoost turbocharged with express injected I4, or a 5.0 L V8. The 2.3 L EcoBoost engine is unique to the Ford Mustang, as it was launched in the 2015 model year Lincoln MKC crossover.
The 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost 4-cylinder produces 310 horsepower and 320 lb-ft, which is a step up from previous versions and it’s the first turbo Mustang since the 1986 SVO.
The 3.7-liter V6, which is the base model by default, produces 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. although power reduced marginally from 2014’s yield of 305 horsepower.
The 5.0-liter V8 produces as much as 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
